About me...

Hi,

my name is Layla Johnstone. I am a qualified and registered person-centred psychotherapist. I am from a working class background and have overcome difficult life experiences myself so I am aware of how challenging life can be. Through self-reflection and my professional practice, I have come to realise it is possible to change, grow and feel more at peace with yourself. This in turn has lead me to be passionate about wanting to help others do the same.

I aim to assist others in finding their innate worth and value by connecting with their true self. I offer a warm, safe and confidential environment to make this possible, whereby people can bring their worries, concerns and distress. I am open-minded and non judgmental and have grew up around and worked with people from diverse backgrounds. I work by offering empathic understanding and acceptance to my clients to enable them to work through and process whatever difficulty or distress they may be facing.

I have a duty of care to all my clients, to build trust, keep things strictly confidential and ensure my clients autonomy is respected at all times.
